The market is no longer just about the product
In every industry, from Energy to Telecommunications, from Finance to Healthcare and Wellbeing, market access depends less and less on the quality of the offering and more and more on the ability to navigate a system of players with different interests: national and regional institutions, regulatory authorities, local governments, trade associations, scientific communities, investors, media and public opinion.
Each of these players has the power to influence, and many have the power to veto. An authorization that never arrives, a tender built on unsuitable requirements, a regulation drafted without listening to those who operate in the field, a hostile local community: just a few obstacles are enough to block years of investment.
Market opportunities are not found: they are made accessible, by building the conditions for someone to say yes.
